Extar Ep9 Problems
Palmetto State Armory
So I received my Extar EP9 this week and took it to the range today. Box and inspection of new gun. Video of only common issue I encountered. This issue seems to of been limited to lead bullets and fully loaded ETS mags, with both the JAG17(loaded upto 18) and Magpul 19rd did not encounter this issue.
Anyone have an Extar EXP556 pistol? Are you having any problems with it, especially with failures to feed?
Customer brought one in and it doesn't like to feed rounds all the time, with three different manufacturers magazines. Almost like it doesn't have the required force to strip and feed the rounds reliably. What I'm seeing is the nose of the bullet is hitting the barrel extension cut outs (both sides) and the bolt just doesn't seem to have enough power to force the rounds into the chamber.
Thoughts? Maybe needs a heavier recoil spring is my first thought.
Extar Ep9 9mm
Extar EP9 Pistol First Impressions. The Extar EP9 is a small, lightweight pistol chambered in 9mm Luger (including +P ammo). It mostly follows the venerable AR-15 pattern, with some differences. It comes from the factory with an SB Tactical SOB brace and one Glock pattern magazine. Mine came with a Magpul 21-rounder. The Extar EP9 appears well.
